We had agreement at our division meeting today that any patient that is admitted to the PICU (whether they be floor boarders, 7C or PICU status) will be cared for by the PICU attending until they are physically transferred to the floor. When 7C is closed due to low census, all patients needing 7C level of care will be on the PICU service in a PICU bed until transferred out to floor or until 7C reopens.
