There is a flu vaccine basket in the med fridge on 7C. Every patient should be screened and vaccines should be ordered immediately if appropriate. Now you can request the vaccine to be delivered to the unit and kept in the basket until an appropriate administration time. You DO NOT need to wait until discharge to administer, but if you do, discharge will no longer be held up for vaccines.
