PICU Leadership will now be called PICU Practice Council to prevent confusion regarding who should attend. ALL are welcome and encouraged to attend this meeting, which takes place the second Tuesday of every month at 8AM in the break room. This is your opportunity to let your voice be heard and to make positive changes in our practice. Currently the group is working on completing the Nurse-Driven Sedation Protocol and competencies. We would love to see more faces at these meetings. Next meeting is Tuesday July 9.
7C- We are working on re-starting the 7C Practice Council. Emily Dorman has agreed to co-lead this group, but we are still in need of an RN leader. Anyone interested? You all work so well as a team and you maintain such positive attitudes- I can see you doing great things with this group.
Children's Hospital Practice Council meets the 4th Wednesday of every month from 11-12 in 501CH. It would be great to have Peds Crtitical Care at these meetings as well. Anyone interested? We could alternate each month between PICU and 7C attending so it's less of a commitment. You all have wonderful ideas and valid complaints. Practice changes should NOT be made without the input of the nurse at the bedside. Let me know if you would like to represent Peds Critical Care at these meetings.
