I have highlighted the areas that we as units can work together to improve.  I will post pages in the break room to collect ideas for making our action plans on how to continue to improve employee engagement and satisfaction in our areas. I will also continue to advocate for our units at higher levels.  I truly want the PICU and 7C to be healthy work environments where we all feel respected, appreciated, safe, and fulfilled.

Look for your opportunity to make suggestions by the first of next week.  Also, you can always email me with ideas or bring them in person.

Culture of Safety Survey:

7C:

63% positive responses
Top 5 percent of hospital units in terms of perception of culture of safety

PICU:

47% positive responses
Exceeded hospital goal

Most of the concerns on both units centered around adequate staffing and communiction/handoff procedures.  We will be brainstorming on how to improve these areas and make an action plan.
