IMPORTANT: Isolation Precautions

Isolation Precautions should be initiated immediately if a contagious infection is suspected/being ruled out.  If diagnostic labs are ordered (cultures, RVP, TB, Parvo), then it is suspected or being ruled out so precautions are necessary.  Isolation Precautions should be maintained until negative results are received and the need for isolation should be discussed in hand-off report.  No one wants to expose themselves, their patients, or their own families to infection.  Thanks for your cooperation.
