Hospital-wide Nominations:
Each year MUSC honors the "Nurse of the Year." This
year, winners will be selected in seven categories, Leadership and the six
components of the Professional Practice Model (PPM): Expertise, Innovation,
Accountability, Advocacy, Integrity, and Collaboration. Criteria
for each category are provided below and on the Nomination Form, linked
from the NOY
home page. Nominees must be employed as a Clinical Nurse, Nursing
Professional Development Facilitator (previously titled Nurse Educator), or
Nurse Manager.
Requirements for all nominees:
1. The
nominee must be a registered nurse in current position for at least one year.
2. The
nominee must be respected and admired by patients, families, co-workers and
students.
3. The
nominee always adheres to MUSC Standards of Behavior.
4. The
nominee cannot be in current disciplinary action.
5. The
nominee is employed by MUHA in a permanent position.
All nominations must be
submitted online and received by noon April 2, 2014.
