Air in line?

I've been hearing a lot of questions about this recently, so here are a few helpful hints to decrease "air in line" alarm:

• clean infusion sensor on pump with an alcohol pad
• when opening IV tubing, leave blue plastic cover on tubing while priming to keep this area clean of debris, fingerprints, etc.  
• clamp clear blue clamp on tubing prior to inserting into pump (the clamp that is inserted into the alaris pump)
• thread tubing straight through chamber so it is flush with holders at top and bottom (see video)
